In fact, if you watch any gameplay footage of Vib-Ribbon on YouTube and mute the sound, it would probably look dreadful – a mobile game that you’d get for free on the App Store that serves no purpose greater than keeping you occupied in a couple of mindless moments of boredom. I recently picked up Vib-Ribbon on the PS Store for my Vita after years of looking wistfully at eBay listings, but not being up to stomach the £50+ price tag for what I already knew was a short, six-stage rhythm game about a scribbly rabbit stepping, climbing, and rolling her way over four hurdles for two and a half minutes each.Īnd when I put it like that, it sounds like it should be awful. Vib-Ribbon might now be one of my favourite video games, but I have absolutely no idea why.
